The earlier Aspen is involved, the more value we can add. Working alongside clients, architects, and project teams during briefing, concept design, and documentation allows us to refine materials, resolve detailing, value manage, and test buildability while there is still flexibility to make informed decisions.
Small refinements at this stage can improve programme, cost and constructability without compromising the original design intent. It also gives clients greater confidence that their vision can be delivered exactly as intended.

Architectural joinery is one of the most coordinated elements of a commercial fit-out. It connects with stone, partitions, services, glazing, ceilings, flooring, lighting and finishes, meaning every decision has a flow-on effect across the project.

From the brief to the Sydney skyline
Aspen’s work on Deloitte’s new headquarters at Sydney’s Quay Quarter Tower demonstrates the value of this approach. Spanning 14 floors and 27,000 square metres, the project demanded exceptional coordination between the design, manufacturing and construction teams.
Working alongside Hassell and the broader project team before documentation was finalised, Aspen reviewed detailing, resolved manufacturing considerations and refined key construction elements early in the process. That collaboration provided greater certainty across procurement, manufacturing and delivery, helping preserve the project’s ambitious design intent while contributing to one of Sydney’s leading workplace environments.
